Obituary

Waltraud Maria El-Heneidi, Trudi to her friends and Mom to her boys, has passed away during the early hours of Saturday morning, 21 January 2023. Born in Pforzheim, Germany on 28 May 1939. Trudi was always a kind, curious, strongminded and independent Woman. Traveling through Europe and Africa, both as a student and an au pair she always embraced adventure, demonstrated her ability to adapt to new environments and enjoyed herself. Eventually meeting and developing a relationship with Roushdi El-Heneidi that began in the Congo during mid-1960’s, then led to New York City, where they were married in 1968 and produced two sons, Kareem in 1970 and Tarek in 1972. Trudi spent most of her adult life in NY, where she had a successful career at Deutsche Bank in lower Manhattan. Prior to her retirement and most recently, Trudi lived very near the surf and dunes in the City of Long Beach. Always fit and moving, Trudi would take walks on the boardwalk nearly every day. We will miss her positive energy and her sense of humor. We will miss her unconditional love, support and guidance. We will miss her company, hugs and conversation. We will miss her everyday.
